Nick Rockett

Singer/Songwriter/Multi-Instrumentalist

Nick honed his musical & entertainment skills playing at venues throughout Australia over more than 30 years.

Residing in North West Australia for many years, his music encapsulates the harsh, yet beautiful, flavors of the Australian bush. From outback Rock to atmospheric ballad his lyrically driven songs are great accompaniment on those long drives.

Nick won the West Australian Music (WAMI) songwriting contest in 1999 and was pleased to be a runner up the following year, subsequently releasing two well-received albums – Out the Back & The Lover, The Lunatic & The Poet.

Nicks music has been played on indigenous, community and regional radio stations across Australia. It has been played on ABC TV and one song (Freedom Seed) was used as an educational tool for Aboriginal Studies in a West Australian Primary School.

Establishing the band Great Barrier Riff in 2015 in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland, Nick is currently working on two projects

• With singer/songwriter Charm Quayle, performing both original songs and

popular/classic covers, suitable for pubs, clubs, weddings etc.

• With singer/songwriter Adrian Thomas whose music ranges from

country to rap, rock and funk.

Nick will be touring Australia in November, with Adrian, but will be back in Cairns and ready for

local gigs with Charm & Great Barrier Riff early 2019
